TMNT Summer Short: We Strike Hard

Nickelodeon's TMNT Summer Shorts series has been inconsistent, but I appreciate the variety of content.  Kinda reminds me of the Mirage TMNT Vol. 1 Guest Era.  This one, though, "We Strike Hard", has to be my favorite of the ones they've done.  Oddly, Nickelodeon hasn't done an official upload of it, yet (there's supposed to be a new short every Sunday, but they missed a week), so enjoy this Russian release.

Anyway, have a Happy 4th of July!

I'd really enjoy hearing your comments on the first one. I think it was a very interesting take on the "Future Turtles" concept.

I enjoyed the "Teenage Mecha Ninja Turtles" short; probably my second favorite so far. The character designs on the humans were a little iffy, like something off DeviantArt, but the animation was great and I enjoyed the complete twist on the characters, setting and so forth.

The "TMNT Team Up!" shorts that everyone's down on, I thought they were okay. They break up the look and genre even if their gags are pretty hit or miss. But they have that rapidfire ADHD thing going where a bad joke doesn't linger too long, anyway. They're good for punctuation and contrast.

"Boulangerie" is the only one so far that I really didn't dig. The animation was mid-2000s Newgrounds quality and the joke was drawn out and dumb.

So far, though, I'm enjoying the Summer Shorts series. Kind of an extension of the SDCC animated shorts trilogy from last year, which is something I really wanted. I just wish Nickelodeon would keep to their schedule of one new short every Sunday; they're already falling behind after only 4 segments ("We Strike Hard" was leaked by another uploader, Nick still hasn't officially put it online as part of the series).

Thanks for putting this one up. I thought that they skipped a week. This one was great and so was the future one. The future skit felt like an extension to the Fast Forward series.

I am with you on the Boulangerie skit. It seemed awkward and weird. I do have to say that I enjoyed last year's skits a bit more though.

I also love how the 80's style for Krang seems to be stressed lately.
